Preventing my DONE user stores from moving to next Sprint

I am having issues creating a flow (following YouTube) that would prevent issues marked as DONE from moving into the next sprint.

Sounds like you may not have a resolution set on those issues marked as done so they are not considered resolved and being moved to the next sprint.

Yup, you may want to check if the "Done" status is mapped to the "Done" column AND if the "Done" status sets a resolution (in the workflow editor).

Hi @Vandana_Kareer  and welcome,

issue DONE are issues that are in the last coulmn on the right of your columns board setting and that have a resolution set.

These issues will be considered done and they will be not moved to the next sprint.

Hope this clarifies your doubt,

Fabio

Hi @Fabio Racobaldo _Herzum_ how do I set the resolution?

hey @Vandana_Kareer , you can do that adding resolution as mandatory field on trantions to DONE or automatically set it through a post function in that transition.

@Vandana_Kareer -

Welcome to the community.  I agreed with @Fabio Racobaldo _Herzum_ stated, the key consideration will always to ensure your issue's WF "Done" status is mapped into the last column on the right of your board's configuration.

If not, then when you close out a sprint, your issues will be either moved back to the backlog or to the upcoming sprints.

@Joseph Chung Yin I have the DONE in the right most column, but I am having difficulty setting the resolution.

@Vandana_Kareer -

Resolution should be always set via the WF transition to the terminal status.  This is the standard implementation.  Resolution should never be set elsewhere outside of the WF transition.

So review your WF transition to the Done status and ensure the resolution is being set in it.

Hope this helps.

Best, Joseph

@Vandana_Kareer

You can use Post function to say "Resolution of issue be set to Done"

Or you could throw a screen to user, where they can provide the resolution before moving to Done status.

You can either use post-function call to set the issue's resolution field to Done in the transition setup.

Or, you can simply display the pop-up screen containing the resolution field to allow the user who is transitioning the issue to the Done status to fill out the resolution field via the resolution value dropdown list.  This way, he/she can decide which resolution value to use for the issue.

It is your call on the method that you want to implement.

Best, Joseph

Is your Done status mapped to Done in workflow? It should appear as Green in your work flow

@Vishal Biyani  yes DONE is green in workflow
