Prevent user to some project: Type of upgrade needed

mlevy5722 October 21, 2021

On JIRA/Confluence cloud,

For some of our users, we wish to restrict them the access to some projects?

Would you know the type of upgrade that we need?

Or maybe there is a way to do it without upgrading to any specific feature?

Such as only providing access to some project to user belong to a particular group (is that even possible?)

Thank you.

If you are on Free instance you can upgrade to Standard to be able to control access using Permissions. If you are already on Standard or Premium then you can control this today.

For CMP go to project settings > permissions. If the user does not have Browse permissions then they cannot view the issues in the project.how-do-jira-permissions-work

For TMP you can set users to either member or viewer. The later cannot edit issues. If you don’t add a user to the project then they cannot view the issues in the project. TMP-permissions
