Hi guys,
My security team asks to crypt the plaintext smtp server password, in the server.xml.
I know it’s not an easy thing, but someone had the same problem, how did they encrypt the password in server.xml for smtp jira connector? thanks
Dear @mariarosaria_cuomo_tisparkle_com
I hope this answer can help you and the others in the future.
run as admin cmd -> typing path "C:\Program Files\Atlassian\Jira\Bin" -> typing execute command "digest.bat -a SHA-256 -h org.apache.catalina.realm.MessageDigestCredentialHandler myCutePassword"
@mariarosaria_cuomo_tisparkle_com Welcome to community.
I believe you can use the same process as the dbconfig.xml.
