New issue type configuration

Maya Arad March 23, 2020

Hi,

I would like to create a new issue type, to be:

1-  a subtask of other issue types (story, epic)

2- custom fields

3- template in description.

I created issue type, but I can find a way to configure and design it as I explained.

Anyone knows how to do it?

Regards

Maya

Hi Maya,

I assume you created the Issue Type as a Sub-task issue type.

But I am not following what you want to do after that. Can you provide a better description on exactly what you are trying to do?

Thanks,

I created new Sub task and i would like to define the following:

  • Fields that will be in this subtask (some custom and some exist).
  • Define for which project and issue types this sub task can be related
  • Once it created there is a build-in template in the description.

You will need to create the following:

An Issue Type Scheme that includes the Issue Types that you want for the Project. And then associated the new Issue Type Scheme with the Project.

An Issue Type Screen Scheme which you will associate the fields with the issue type.

A Screen Scheme that makes the fields show up on the screen.

I might have the last two reversed in order.

Here is a diagram showing the relationship with these things.
