Need to get Kanban metrics - throughput, cycle-time, WIP, flow-efficiency for multiple projects on a dashboard. What is the best way to get these? Is it possible without an app? What is possible without app? What are the suggested apps?

One of the key indicators of productivity is cycle time. That is time passed from an In Progress state to a Done state. Our team at Bloompeak developed Status Time app for this exact need. It provides time passed on each status. You can group any subset of statuses and get cycle time too.

Additionally, it supports multiple calendars, that is once you enter your working calendar into the app, it takes your working schedule into account too. So that, "In Progress" time of an issue opened on Friday at 5 PM and closed on Monday at 9 AM, will be a few hours rather than 3 days. It has various other reports like assignee time, status entry dates, average/sum reports(eg. average in progress time per project).

There are few charts in Jira, like CFD (Cumulative Flow Diagram) and Control Chart where you can find some basic information and as you may know, they don't work across multiple projects...

App wise, of course, I'd suggest our app that exposes these Kanban metrics. At the moment we don't offer multi-project capabilities but this is something that we could look into.
