When I create a ticket/issue in JIRA, I want to auto-send an email to individuals/groups relevant to that ticket. These are individuals who want updates about if we received the issue, if it's being processed, what's the status, etc.
I got pretty far in setting up an automation rule, but when I tested it on myself (email), the email components kept the same subject info and repeated it for every created issue after that. I want the email that's sent to pull the issue info from the (current) issue's title.
Hi @Bridget Wright -- Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
For a question like this, please post an image of your complete automation rule, images of any relevant actions / conditions / branches, an image of the audit log details showing the rule execution, and explain what is not working as expected. Those will provide context for the community to offer ideas. Thanks!
Until we see those...
I suspect there is either a branching problem or the rule is using the incorrect smart values in your email. Seeing the rule details / images will help explain what you are observing.
And...to confirm: are you trying to send one email with a bunch of issues listed, or a bunch of emails with one issue in each one?
Kind regards,
Bill
