Our Developer Team have to move from Azure DevOps Boards to Jira. Meaning that all information from Azure has to be adapted in Jira including tasks' comments, descriptions, and images. Is it even possible. Does anyone have done it?
I have read that it is possible if you create export data from Azure Devops as CSV file and importing into Jira (have to do some data mapping) by Jira administrator only (I still don't understand who is it?). Also export file from Azure DevOps does not include any comments added in tasks and no attachments/ images. Is there any way to transfer all data?
I would appreciate any help or advice.
Hello @Santa Baltmane ,
Welcome to the Atlassian Community !!
Yes I have done TFS and Azure DevOps to Jira migration using third party plugin which brings Tickets, Comments, descriptions, images and custom fields data and even you can also bring the sprint data as well.
Basically you need to Map the Projects, Fields, and user.
I would recommend to check below third-party apps.
1. TFS4Jira Azure DevOps Integration
2. Azure DevOps for Jira Integration and Migration

Mayur
Is a 3rd party app the only way to accomplish this transition from AzureDevOps to Jira? Due to the requirements of most of our users needing comments and attachments to come over?

I means you want to migrate attachments, comments with less effort then this one is the easy solution I can recommend.

Thank you. I will have a look into these.

@Mayur Jadhav I appreciate your answer, but I wouldn't say that I accept it, yet. I have to look at it from a client's perspective. And maybe said client isn't thrilled that they need to buy additional plugins to accomplish functionality that feels like should be OOTB. While I do appreciate the recommendation for the easier approach, I need to be able to give clients the option to choose.
That being said, is the only way to bring over comments and attachments (which are a non negotiable, they need to come over) from Azure DevOps to Jira with a 3rd party add on?
Thank you
