how to move an unassigned issue into a child issue of a known task

I can see how to move a task between projects but I can't see how to move an unassigned issue into a known task, but as a child issue.

Hi Jon,

If I am following you correctly, it sounds like you want to convert an issue to a Sub-task as a child under another issue. If that is the case, open the issue, then click the 3 dots menu to the upper right and choose Convert to Sub-task. 

On the next screen, you will choose the parent issue.

Hi John, yes, that's correct. I have now figured it out. Thank you.

I was confused because I couldn't see 'child issue' as an option and wasn't sure if sub-task would do the same.
