Merging jira servers from Eu region to US region

Hi 

We are planning for jira server migration from one instance to another instance, in that source instance is EU region, target instance is US region , This two instance are running on VM, we are planning for migration by using project configurator plug in, source instance and target instance time zone is different. 

I have checked migration prerequisites (in that need to maintain the same time zone source and target instance) 

is there any needed change the time zone in source instance (EU) , Could you please provide the steps.
