Making Issue screen tab active bases on status

Hi, 

We have screen tabs based on the status, now I have to highlight the tab based on the current issue status. Is there any way to achieve that.

I can see similar post.

but I noticed that was asked long time back, May I know is there a solution now?

This isn't possible natively; the screen tabs will show regardless of the status.

Can I confirm the exact need here? Is it that fields are most relevant per status? Would a transition screen work (i.e a screen that pops up during the transition between statuses)?

Its ok to show all the tabs but Is there any way to highlight the tabs based on the status.

Beyond a transition screen, it's not possible to highlight a tab in any other way natively based on status.
