I have seen this issue happen on multiple tickets. I create a group of tickets (under same epic) and add 'blocks'/'is blocked by' links. EX: A blocks B, A and B block C.
At some point (can't figure out when) the links get reversed so that B blocks A, and C blocks A and B. If I look at the ticket history I can see the original linking I describe above is there, but see no indication of these 'blocks'/'is blocked by' links being switched. This behavior is frustrating when I spend so much time trying to link tickets correctly and creates confusion when planning work.
Other notes.
1) I also had 'created by' link on the tickets and that link is still correct
2) When this 'blocks'/'is blocked by' switch occurs in the ticket is switches every ticket in the group, i.e. for a ticket everything that should have 'blocks' links is now 'is blocked by' link and every ticket that should have 'is blocked by' link is now 'blocks' link
Hello @Julia Shreckhise
Welcome to the Atlassian community.
The same topic has been discussed in this thread. In that case it was caused by an app called BigPicture from Appfire. Do you have that app on your instance? If not, do you have any third party portfolio management/roadmap app on your instance, which leverages the blocked/is-blocked-by link type to indicate dependent tasks?
We do have BigGantt which I see mentioned in that thread- will investigate!
