Jira plan right click causes issues to be re-ranked

In Jira/Plans/timeline
If I right click/control click, on a child issue in a Jira plan, and click copy link, I now have the issue grabbed and must re-rank the issue. This is problematic, because it's easy to move an issue to another epic, rerank within the epic, or move it to some other unintended place. Does anyone else have this issue, and can it be fixed or worked around?
