Jira gadget piechart and other tools encounter chinese messy codes
Hi Jira Team,
We encountered above situation, when we try to export search results on Jira, if we try to use gadget, there are 2 issues:
1. gadget type description shows messy, it should display as Chinese.
2. the piechart, if we choose the specific filter (filter result is Chinese Chars), the pie index is shown as ‘[]’

All info we can provide are：
1. database values: seems ok
2. catalina server.xml
3. bin/setenv.sh
4. mysql - 5.7.38 with encoding=UTF-8
5. system info : Jira Software 8.22.1 + Jira Core 8.22.1 (Data-Center version)
So, could you help us with this issue ?

We checked our DB character set, it shows below:
Do you mean we need to set all variables to utf8mb4 ?
