Jira cloud - Epic Story Points over time

Epic Story Points over time.

 

We wrote automation to update the Epic story points based upon the sum of all stories and bugs underneath an epic.

 

We use the Epic story point and average velocity to forecast the Jira Advanced Roadmap over future sprints.

One thing that comes up is that, during a sprint we discover more work so the epic changes in SP estimates over time.

You can export data periodically and then plot how the story points changes over time.

 

Are there are other ways to do this over time?

 

Sure I could use an excel add-in and open the spreadsheet to capture the value and plot it over time.

 

Integrating with plotting values over time seems like the way to do where the data is exported over time.
