Jira Timesheet as the ability to track the time of work

Currently, In Jira we are logging and tracking time of the coresponding tickets and in Reporting cummulative hours for the day will be displayed on Jira Timesheet

Is there a way, where we can add particular time when the issue is been worked and whether it is possible to extract the same from Jira Timesheet

Example: 1hour logged, It is worked between 11:00 am to 12:00pm

Hi @Kavitha Vasudevan

I'm Daniel from EverIT, a fellow time tracker app vendor. I want to show you our app, Timetracker's solution to your problem.

We provide 3 ways to log works, where you can customize the worklog editor based on if the actual start and end dates are important for your organization. I'll show you only two examples, the Timeline View and the Calendar View, as the third view, which lets you create worklogs on the Jira Issue, is pretty similar to the Calendar View dialog.

As you can see, the two methods provide your users with different ways to create the same worklog data, which will then be available in the reports of our app. We believe each user can find the best work logging method that suits their work style.

And to answer specifically your need, you can customize the Detail window in the Reports to show both duration and Start and End dates.

Hi @Kavitha Vasudevan ,

If you are interested in overall resource optimization, I think you should pay attention to the project cost-tracking app.

I recommend the Cost Tracker app, which will help you keep your finger on the pulse of your finances.

You can also make informative time reports and powerful cost reports, and track all company expenses in one place.

In addition, the issue widget is available, allowing you to track a task's cost and the time spent on it.

Here's a 30-day trial for you. We'll be glad to see you at SaaSJet!

Hi @Kavitha Vasudevan

you might consider using time-tracking apps that might have the option to log time for a specific period, as shown in your example.

I can recommend our Clockwork Automated Time Tracking & Timesheets Pro app, which offers you the possibility to add worklogs for specific periods of time.

You can add time through Calendar and the Timesheet:

This view is managed by each person on the team. To see the start and time, simply hover over the mouse on the specific worklog.

You can also review this on the Clockwork Timesheet:

In case you have any further questions, you can contact us through our Help Center.

Cheers!
