Jira Plans: Assigning Team team in bulk with all descendant selected

Martin Bouchard January 11, 2022

I want to assign a team to all descendant of an Initiative:

  • On the Initiative, "Select this and all descendant issues"
  • Click on "Bulk actions".
  • Oups! the "Team" item is greyed out.

I narrowed it down to Sub-Tasks being selected when use the select all descendant issues, and Team cannot be assigned to Sub-Tasks.

I tried to filter out the Sub-Tasks from the hierarchy, they don't show up, but they are still selected under the hood, since I still cannot select the "Team" item under the "Bulk actions".

How can I work around this issue?

Hi @Martin Bouchard ,

I just tested this. First, filter the issues without the sub-tasks and uncheck Show full hierarchy. Then select the entire scope and you can bulk edit, selecting Team as well.
