@Gunnar Schmidt Welcome to the Atlassian Community.  Yes you can set the due date.  Just make sure it is on the view and edit screen.

@Gunnar Schmidt - It is actually not in the android app.  When you view the issues in the web app are those fields visible?

yes, it is working in the web app. Would be nice feature to filter by due date in the android app, too.
