Jira Field Colors seem a bit Random

Daniel Garcia December 22, 2021

I'm upgrading from 8.3 to 8.20 and noticed the field colors have changed

  • single line text: light grey #fafbfc
  • multi line text: white #ffffff
  • select box: medium grey #ebecf0

it all seems a bit random.

does everyone see this random assortment of colors or is there something wrong with my install?

Are there reasons why it was done that way?

Are those reasons good ?

Hi @Daniel Garcia

Yes, Unified experience in Cloud and Data Center. Don't worry too much.

And FYI 8.3 to 8.20 is a long Upgrade path you have taken and there are so many features rolled out in between including two LTS releases.

Here's a list of features that have rolled out in the latest version

Be sure to check out the roadmap as well

Unified experience  = alignment between server and cloud ?

Is there a reason for all the different colors?

Hi @Daniel Garcia

It's still in Progress 🙂

It's just about providing a good UI experience. There's no specific reason.

If you need to monitor the Application performance or check the logs, head over to the Troubleshooting and Support Tools in System Tab in Jira and analyze the logs.

Thanks,
Pramodh
