[Jira] Epic name can't be changed

Even though I have put the field "Epic Name" into the screen template, I can't edit in any way. When I create an epic, there is the field "Epic Name" for me to enter. How do I edit the Epic's names? It used to work before, but since the recent change Jira had, I couldn't do it. Please note that I am able to change the names for the rest of the issue types, but not Epics.

@Ollie Guan: oh thank you! I didn't notice that. All I was thinking is other issue type's name can be changed by directly clicking on it like the below picture, but I couldn't do it for Epic's name. Thanks a lot.

Go to Backlog and then click on the "EPIC" tab on the left side of the backlog

This only works, however, if you have configured your board to have the epics panel on. Is there any way to change an epic name if the epics panel is off without having to temporarily turn it on?
