Hi Community,

We are currently using a Jira Data center instance with 3 nodes currently running and want to migrate the one of our Jira Cloud instance data to the Data center instance.

As far as I know there is no plugin available to migrate the Cloud data to Data center.

We can use the CSV to import/export to migrate the issues but is there any other recommended way to migrate the issues and all project schemes etc without creating them manually so that we can merge these two instances.

Thanks

You don't need an app to do this, but it's not a direct step.

You have to export your Cloud site in full, then use the export to populate an empty dev/test Server (or DC) install.  Then you can use that dev/test server as a source for migrating issues from projects into your main DC install.  Configuration is a different story though.

There are however some apps that make this a lot easier, Project Configurator and Configuration manager can help you take config from anywhere to anywhere.  Possibly directly from Cloud into your DC.

Hi @Sagar ,

You can find full steps to migrate from Jira cloud to server/Data center in https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver/migrating-from-jira-cloud-to-server-applications-938846963.html

Ah, Got it Thanks @Nic Brough -Adaptavist- That was really helpful.

So basically migrate your Cloud data to the new fresh Jira Datacenter instance, Then use the Configuration Manager or Project Configurator for migrating the data from this DC instance to our existing Jira instance.

Cloud To Datacenter migration (Fresh instance)

Datacenter (Fresh instance) to Datacenter migration (Existing Instance)
