Jira Cloud Free downgraded from basic -> when I add user he has only view permission -> please help

Hi,

I had jira cloud basic plan,

when I downgraded to free plan and tried to add a new user he can't assign taksk to himself and see project in view mode.

Where I could get help?

Thank you for reaching out to Atlassian Community!

When we change the plans from standard to free, it's not possible to change the permissions of the projects that were created when the plan was Standard.

With that said, you need to check the permissions and confirm if the user that you added is part of the groups that has permission on the project.

If it's a classic project, go to Project settings > Permissions and check what group has permission and then add the user to the group. By default, it's "Any logged in user", but if someone changed before changing the plan, then the permissions can't be changed anymore.
