Hi all,
I've just written some simple automation to create an issue (a bug) with some initial fields and a link to a parent (story). I'd like to now open, as a new browser window, the newly created issue to allow the user to complete the details.
Is this possible using automation?
Thanks,
JonC
No, that is not possible with the built-in automation for Jira.
What you are describing would need to interact with the local computer to open the browser (or browser tab).
One work-around you could try with built-in features would be to mention the user in the new story, and that would appear in the notifications (i.e., bell icon at the top-right of the browser), and from there they could open the issue.
Kind regards,
Bill
