JQL query to find issues with no story points, but exclude those with subtasks

Hi. I've been looking into adding a quick filter to our Kanban board that displays tickets with no story point value. My query is shown below and works well.

status not in ("Done/Published", Cancelled) AND issuetype != epic AND "Story Points[Number]" is EMPTY

However this isn't the whole story. You can have subtasks and tasks, in which case the task isn't story pointed - just the subtask.

So my question is, can the query be changed to report on tickets that are not story pointed, but exclude tasks that aren't but have subtasks that are?

Hi,

It seems that you will need an addon to achieve this.

Or try to create a rule with automation to add a flag in those task that have not story point but subtask have.

Thanks for responding. The idea of automation is one I hadn't considered.
