JIRA admin rights

Hello,

The person that has the admin rights to our JIRA is no longer with the company - I am trying to find out how I can become the ultimate owner. I dont have access rights to be able to do things like attaching teams to JIRA.

When I try and get onto the administration page a blank page saying contact your administrator comes up but they no longer work here...

Hello @Hannah Johnson

Did the former administrator access your Jira/Atlassian Cloud resources with a company managed account/email or a personal account/email?

If it was managed by your company, than work with your IT team to have the account reactivated (assuming it was deactivated) and have the password reset. Then login with that account and access the Administration hub. From there you will be able to add yourself and others as Organization Admins. I recommend that your company make sure you have more than one Org Admin at all times so that in the future you don't lose access due to the departure of one person.

If the previous admin used a personal account/email, you need to reach out to them to work with you on transferring ownership.

If that is not possible, you can contact Atlassian support directly at https://support.atlassian.com/contact/#/ and select the My Account option. They may be able to provide assistance with transferring the ownership.
