I have downloaded and installed JIRA software version 8.3.3

After installation, JIRA web browser page is opened by default. Now it is asking for admin username and password.

I have not setup any username and password. I tried using admin/admin as default password but its not working.

Please help me out and let me know, what should I enter.

Hi @gauravgupta03

When installing Jira very first page the you ask it to set things up for you automatically?

If yes, I will suggest attempting a restore of admin rights as suggested by @Tinker Fadoua .

If this does not help then reinstall Jira and select the option to set it up yourself.

Cheers.

@gauravgupta03

From your question, it seems that you are using JIRA Internal Directory to log in to JIRA. I don't think admin/admin are the credentials.

Try to follow the solution suggested here

Please let me know how it goes.

Best,

Fadoua

Indeed, there is no "default" password - the setup will have asked the person first running Jira to set up the initial admin user and password.
