Hi everyone.

I have a current project where I have a Backlog view which is driven by a filter (project = xxx). I also have an Active Sprint view.

I have created a new workflow and updated the issuetypes the project uses to use the new workflow. On the Active Sprint view I have mapped the statuses from the new workflow into the required columns and everyone works fine there.

The problem I am facing is that the issuetypes previously displayed in the Backlog have now gone. I am unable to find a resolution of this.

Does anyone have any advice or suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

Kyle

Hello @Kyle Brain

Since the board is just a view on the issues being fetched by the underlying filter.

As you have mentioned

"The problem I am facing is that the issuetypes previously displayed in the Backlog have now gone. I am unable to find a resolution of this. "

Did you make sure the new issue filter is fetching the required issues and since you have updated the issueType, can you make sure the new issueTypes are now part of the JQL filter of the board.

Hi Tarum,

Thanks for your reply.

I haven't created a new issue filter, it remains the same. The JQL filter looks for only the project type (project = xxx). The issuetypes haven't changed, still using the same ones. Only the workflow they use has changed and the statuses of these new workflows are not included in a filter.

Hello @Kyle Brain

Could you please share the screenshot of the board configuration, filter and the issue view of the issue you expect to be on the backlog but it's not.

@Tarun Sapra @Kyle Brain  did you guys figure out a solution? I have been struggling with configuring a workflow for my team that includes the 3 environments that we have (dictated by IT/the State) as well as giving a resolution on closing and when I published my last 1 that I Think works suddenly the backlog has 7 items and not 171 :( I am my own Jira administrator as the state will not pay for everyone to have Jira and they are using RedMine (which I hated) and I got approval for funding for just my team but this has become a HUGE impediment as we can't do planning or run sprints correctly. I am about to scrap it, export the open items and start from scratch and configure all of the items (there are over 1700 issues that have been closed since we started that I may have to manage as well, I would really love to actually have a burndown or dashboard)
