Issues disappear after created

Hi everyone,

I'm very new to JIRA, and I just noticed that everytime I create a new issue it disappears from the board, but I can see the new issues in Issues tab.

I'm unable to find any information regarding this. I feel I'm doing something so simple and dumb but I'm pretty stuck.

Thanks for your help in advance.

Hi @ting sun -- Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

A Jira board is a view of issues, based on the board's filter.

And so it is likely that when you create the new issues they are not meeting the filter criteria, and so do not display.  For example, are you creating issues missing a piece of information, or perhaps in one project, but the board is in another.

Please look at your new issue and compare it to others on the board.  That will help you identify what is different, and so preventing the display.

And, are you using a Scrum or a Kanban board?  If you are using a Scrum board, only the issues in the current sprint will display.

Kind regards,
Bill

Hi Bill, thank you.

I can't find the Board settings, that mentioned in some help text. So, I don't know if I'm using a Scrum or Kanban board.

Thank you. I see where it went wrong, I have to set up the Project with the Software development template to be able to have Scrum and Kanban.

Another point is that if the new issues are returned by the board filter, by default they go to the bottom of the backlog, so they might be "there" but not visible until you scroll way down.
