Is there a way to "like" a comment?

It would be very handy if there was a quick and easy way to acknowledge a comment on a Jira issue. You can do this on comments in Confluence and also in Slack. Is there an app that can do this, or perhaps this is an upcoming feature in Jira?

Hey Kelly,

Reactions to comments are not available on the Server or Data Center deployment options. However, it is already available on Cloud products - https://support.atlassian.com/jira-core-cloud/docs/watch-share-and-comment-on-an-issue/

Look for "React to comments" in the above doc.

Regards,

Bhushan

Thanks Bhushan! It is not likely that we will be moving to the Cloud version any time soon. Do you know whether the "React to comments" feature will be available in the Data Center version any time soon?

Thanks
Kelly

Hi Kelly,

there might be the option to go with an App providing this functionality.
I have no one of them in use and do not know any of them further but it might be worth a try if you have a non-production environment to test.
I doubt there will be built-in functionality like this any time soon.

There is one I found at first sight without deeper inspection what else might be around in Marketplace:
