Is there a way to alphabetize the issue types in the Create Issue Type Scheme selection window?

Davin Hoekstra March 26, 2019

JIRA Server 7.12.3

Go to Administration>Issues>Issue Type Schemes and click "Add New Issue Type Scheme"

The list of Available Issue Types is not sorted in Alphabetical order which makes it more work to search for all the issues you want to select for the new scheme. Is there a way to alphabetically order this? I tried to drag and drop but when you go to create another it hasn't saved.

We are also (still) suffering from this in Jira 8.22.x

The only fix I have been able to find is a workaround listed in the comments of https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRASERVER-59872

It requires a DB update and subsequent Jira restart unfortunately :|

Hey Davin,

We have the same need and it is a pain that they are not in alphabetical order. Happens in other places in JIRA Admin also. I suggest you do a Find on the page to select what you need - that's what I end up doing since we have TONS of Issue Types.

Yeah I do that now. Thanks though.
