We'd like to add the "Original Estimate" field, while creating a issue type. Currently it's only visible after the creation of an issue type.
Active Sprints -> Board Settings -> Estimation - turning on this setting still won't help me resolve this issue. Any other ideas?
Original Estimate can only ever be part of the Context Fields (i.e. Details) section. Context Fields are defined as "secondary information that your team might need to sort, filter, or report on issues". Original Estimate is not secondary information. But, on the bright side, it will remain visible no matter which issue tab or view you are on.
Not true, the original estimate can be on the create screen too, you just have to add the time tracking field to the create screen and you will see Original Estimate when creating the issue.

All you have to do is add Original estimate to your create screen. Just go to Project settings > Screens, select the screen used by the issue type you want to change and then add the field to the Create screen.

My bad, you need to add Time tracking to the screen, that will add the original estimate field.
