Is JIRA Premium or Enterprise Cloud a FedRamp approved or certified?

We are in the process of replying to a Federal agency RFP.  They required an Enterprise Agile project management cloud-hosted portal ((such as a Software-as- a-Service (SaaS) or Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS)) that must be be able to receive FedRamp authorization with 12 months of award.  Can JIRA Cloud Premium or Enterprise be a FedRamp authorized?

Jira Server built within your Authorization Boundary would satisfy this request...

We are planning not to use JIRA Server, instead use JIRA Cloud Premium or Enterprise with JIRA Access (SAML, SSO, data encryption, etc.).  Does that satisfy the FedRamp request?

Last I checked, Atlassian Cloud offerings are not FedRAMP certified. Thats why you have to build it within your Auth Boundry, in addition to using MFA + SSO.

We need a better answer than this.

Contegix (Platinum Partner) and Atlassian are working closely together to fill the gap while Atlassian finishes the ATO process - providing both FedRAMP Moderate and High PaaS solutions.

Hi Adam,

Did you see the Roadmap? https://www.atlassian.com/roadmap/cloud?category=compliance&status=future&enterprise=

From what I can see 2022 and 2023 look like the earliest.

Are you planning to attend the Government Symposium? Sounds like there will be more information there: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Government/Team-Tour-Government-Symposium-Save-the-Date/ba-p/1558984

Also, there is a Government interest group here on Community if you are interested to join: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Government/gh-p/government_gh_0

Best,

Carolyn
