From that response, you can also probably infer that the answer is "no", as I'm implying that because it's a tiny "niche" market, Atlassian won't have done anything about it.

BIM = Building information modelling.
Other architectural/engineering software also has 'issue tracking' capability. Generally, architectural and engineering software use a .bcf file to export 'issues' between software. Its like an open file format to encourage sharing between different software platforms.
