I want to create a dashboard that shows the sprint boards for active projects only

tiger December 14, 2020

We have a few dozen properties and usually around 10 active sprints at a time.  How do I create a dashboard that shows the burndowns for each ACTIVE sprint and not have dashboard items for all the properties that are not in an active sprint status.

Hi @tiger

I am unclear what you mean by "properties", so I am assuming you mean "Jira projects".  If I am incorrect, please provide more information.

You could create a single dashboard, with a Sprint Burndown Gadget for each board that you want to watch.  In the options for each board, select the project, board, and "Next sprint due (auto)" settings.  When there are active sprints, they will display, and when not, the gadget displays "There are no active sprints".

If you need something better than the built-in gadgets, please consider looking at the options in the marketplace for purchase or your teams can build/code their own gadgets to meet their needs.

Best regards,

Bill
