Ok. It is very simple. I am starting with Jira. My company is an OTT (Like Hulu). We receive batches of movies and TV shows. One batch has assorted products (movies, documentaries, etc). Usually a batch has 10 to 60 titles. And when I receive those we have to do quality control. If one title is a movie, ok. But sometimes we have TV series with 20 episodes.
I would like to be able to create an item "movie" and send it to the video editor for QC (progress), and another item (series) with 20 episodes and being able to see the progress on each episode. One movie takes one day to QC, one series may take a week.
I would like to be able to see the burndown graphic or something where the video editor can checkmark every time he finishes QC each episode. I was able to do that on Trello to a point but I would like to do it here and collect more analytical data.
Thank you.
Hi @VJ Rei
This sounds fairly straight forward to me. You can create two issue types called Movie and Series. For the series tasks, you can create sub-tasks for each episode in the series. You can then create a fairly simple workflow for these tasks (e.g. To do > In progress > Done), and can assign the tasks to the video editor when you transition to In Progress
Thank you, let me take a look again. I am new and there are like 3 thousand options at a glance and each software has a different name for the same actions. Let me take a look. Thank you =)

This thread is from a while back, but if you're still looking for help creating a framework for your videos, I've got some ideas for you. For your OTT company dealing with batches of movies and TV shows, it's crucial to have a streamlined quality control process. To simplify things, you can create an item for each ""movie"" and send it to the video editor for QC. It's a practical way to stay organized. Now, when it comes to TV series with multiple episodes, you can create a separate item for the series and break it down into individual episodes. This way, you can track the progress of each episode separately. It's all about staying on top of things! Although the thread is old, I hope these ideas inspire you to enhance your framework. And hey, I found this article on https://vidpros.com/learn-secrets-hormozi-style-video-captions/. It shares secrets about video captions, which can elevate your OTT content.
