I need your help to copy their some details as we have in existing app board to newly created project
Hello @Maktumhusain Taseeladar
Let us first clarify a few things.
Projects are containers for issues. Boards are just a way to visualize and manipulate the issues that are in projects.
Releases are defined in a project.
Statuses are defined in Workflows. If you are using a Company Managed project then the workflow can be shared between projects. If you are using a Team Managed project, workflows cannot be shared. In that case you have to modify the workflows in the new Team Managed project manually to match the source project.
Columns in a board are just containers for organizing the display of issues based on their Status.
Now there are a few questions to answer.
1. You mentioned copying issue details. Do you mean you want the same fields or do you mean the actual data for specific issues?
2. Is the source project a Team Managed project or a Company Managed project?
3. Is the new project going to be a Team Managed project or a Company Managed project?
4. How did you define the list of Teams? Was that set up in an Advanced Roadmap for the source project?
If your source and destination projects are Company Managed then you can have your Jira Administrator create a new project and select the Share Configuration option during creation to have that new project use the same workflows and fields as the original project. Note thought that this will share all the configuration between the two projects for Workflows, Screens and Fields, Permissions, Notifications, and Issue Types. If you want to make changes to any of those that don't affect both projects, then copies of those schemes need to be created, changed, and assigned to the target project.
You can make a copy of the Kanban board and change the Filter Query for the new board to a new filter that references the new project.
You may still need to make adjustments manually to get the Issue Details view to show the same field layout in the new project.
There is not a way in the UI to copy Releases or Teams from one project to another that I know of, unless that is part of the features available in Advanced Roadmaps.
