I've built a software project using team-managed type, but when I check my kanban board, I cannot see the epic, it only shows the task & sub-task level, I cannot find anywhere the tool to make the epic visible in the columns of the board.

attachment is the view of my board

Hello @Nha_

For Team Managed projects it is not possible to show a card on the board for the Epic issues. They can only be displayed on the board as headers for swimlanes when you use the Group By Epic option, or shown in the Backlog screen in the Epics panel.

Hi @Nha_

Welcome to Atlassian Community!

Please perform the below in order to see the Epics on Team Managed Project Kanban Board:

  1. In order to View the issues with their Epic, select Group By "Epic" on Board from Top right side corner as shown in below screenshot. This change with show Epics and it's Story/Task

  2. In order to show all the Epics on Kanban Board, need to enable the Backlog first by following below:
    1. Go to Project Settings --> Features --> Enable the Backlog:

    2. After that click on Back to project and click on Backlog --> Epic and enable the Epic Panel

All this configuration, will enable the Epic Panel in Backlog where all the Epic will be visible.

Please check and see if this helps you.

Hi @Nha_ ,

You can go to configure section of your board ,if you are a board administrator and then in Card layout section you can Add Epic Link or Epic name field as per your requirement .

@Faisal

Your answer applies only to a board for a Company Managed project, not to a board for a Team Managed project which is what the poster indicated they are using.
