How to see all users in Jira

I've been asked to provide a full list of our users (Full name, User name, Email ID, User count, Last login date), as someone in my team needs it for the server to cloud migration we're undergoing soon.

I'm fairly new as an Jira admin and can't see where to find this data, so help would be mush appreciated.

Thank you all and May the 4th be with you!

Hello @Christian Friis Holtebo and welcome to the community.

To get this kind of information, you need to be a site administrator. So you can ask your site administrator to add you to this group. After that you will unlock new settings where you can see all this information :

Have a nice day and if you have another problem or if I don't answer to your question, tell me :)

Hi @JM Perrot

I'm already a site admin and have access to these tools.

What i need is to be able to export all our user info to csv or an excel file, so that my colleague have a list of all users. The problem is that i don't see the possibility to export the data i need.

I don't see an option to export under User management.

Ok it's because you are on-premise, sorry for this misunderstanding.

So the default built-in user management doesn't have these features, indeed.

However you can do that via Scriptrunner I think or via an add-on like UserManagment for Jira :

"Please consider using the app UserManagement for Jira instead - you will be able to export users to CSV in the Bulk User Actions mode.

It won't be able to track the status of invitations sent out, but you will be able to query your user base, and see which users have been created, who is active and who is not.

To keep you user counts under control you will also be able to configure Scheduled User Actions to deactivate those users in Jira who haven't been active for a while."

Just looked it up and it would be great to add such a powerful app to our Jira, unfortunately it's  $1500 to buy it and i would have to ask my boss, before further action, as i'm not able to approve something like that.

I will however give the free trial a shot later tonight or tomorrow at the latest and report back on it's effect on my problem.

Thanks for the help so far :D

Yes, in theory you can use the first month of trial to do your user extraction. I hope this will be useful to you and good luck :)

Hi Christian, Please try and navigate to Administration --> User Management --> Users you will find the list of all the users. You will also find Export users option to upload all your details to Excel format. Hope it helps! Thank you.
