How to replicate JMWE's "Use selected assignee if changed on the transition screen" p-function optio

Hello,

I am currently moving from Jira Server to Cloud and one of my workflows is using the JMWE's "Assign to last role member" post-function with option "Use selected assignee if changed on the transition screen". Unfortunately this action is not available in Cloud for this post-function and Conditional execution do not seem to be able to replicate it. Is there a way of replicating this behaviour without having to use a Scriptrunner homemade script?
