How to generate performance reports for team members

Hi,

We are using Jira as our project management tool and we are using jira on cloud. Also as we are working base on agile concepts, we are using agility boards. In order to evaluate performances of team members, I need to generate a report which gives me accurate statistics on team members. As I am not familiar much with jira reports, at the moment I don't have any idea about which type of report I should generate. Could you please guide me on this :)

Cheers,

Hansi

Hi Hansika,

We currently don't have this feature within Agility boards. In the short term, we'll only have team based progress reports: the burnup and velocity reports. You should be able to go to Features > Reports to access the burnup report (requires Sprints to be enabled).

Alternatively, please set up a gadget to track this:

  1. Choose the Jira icon (, or ) > Settings > System
  2. In the User interface section, click System dashboard.
  3. Click Add Gadget. To view all available gadgets, click Load all gadgets.
  4. Find the gadget you want to add. You can also filter the gadgets by searching for or clicking a category on the left.
  5. Click Add gadget for the gadget you want to add.

Some gadgets I personally used to track my team are:

  1. Created vs. Resolved Chart (I can see which issues are created vs resolved over a period),
  2. Average Age Chart (how long do issues stay unresolved)
  3. Filter Results (custom JQL filter).

You can edit the JQL filters here to filter to specific teams or members.

I'll put this use-case down as a feature request. Thanks, hope this helps.

Anna

@Rayen Magpantay Is there any news or update on this? I'd like to filter sprint reports by person to see what work they completed that sprint versus having to traverse cards looking for who was assigned what. Thank you!

So you are using Agility projects rather than Software w/ Scrum/Kanban boards? I haven't used the Agility for any project but have played w/ a test project briefly and found them too limiting for my needs and as they are beta they continue to change.

With a scrum board you can use velocity reports, burndown and burnup reports to measure team performance. If you want individual performance then I would suggest creating a dashboard w/ gadgets focused on individual metrics.

@priyanka.raha , please open a new thread for this question. Basically it simply comes down to how you create your filters which will be driven by your precise goals.

I am facing the same issue ... I am pretty new to this, was able to configure for the business but reporting has been a roadblock.
