Can We extract a report from Jira to reflect Original Estimate of Issue Vs the actual consumed hours.
Can we do the above report per user also.
For a report by user, we use Worklogs by SolDevelo. It's very flexible, and the dev team is very responsive.
Hello,
Thank you @Kelly Arrey for recommending us! :)
@Pritpal Singh Just to clarify, our Worklogs - Time Tracking and Reports create reports to Jira time logs and issue fields. While we don't aggregate the data from fields, you can still view the original estimates and the time spent on them.
For example, you can view the time spent on a project and original estimates within that project:
Or simply compare the time spent on issues and view their estimates next to it:
Each report can be exported to an Excel file or showcased on a Jira dashboard gadget.
Hope this helps! Please feel free to try it out in our interactive demo here.

Hi @Pritpal Singh,
you might consider using time-tracking apps that in most cases have a customizable report of tracked time on issues.
I can recommend our Clockwork Automated Time Tracking & Timesheets Pro app, which offers you the possibility to review timesheets and create reports that can be configured in various ways using break-down and filtering options.
Using timesheets, you can create a report that shows the original estimate and the remaining estimate.
Please find below the sample of how the timesheet looks like:
If you have any questions you can contact us via our help center.
Cheers!

Hello @Pritpal Singh
You can get the Original Estimate and Time Spent information per issue in the output of the Advanced Issue Search screen. If you change the view from Details to List, you can then add the two fields to the Columns displayed in the output. You would use the filter of your choice for selecting issues.
You can export the search results to a CSV file, and open/manipulate that file in something like Excel. Or you could display the results on a Jira Dashboard with the Filter Results gadget.

If he goes the Excel way, then our Better Excel Exporter converts both fields to hours for ease of understanding. For example, "1 day" will be 8.0 and "30 minutes" will be 0.5.
