Hi @Yash_nigam
Sub-tasks are a child of stories and so they can be created under a story.
Is that what you're looking to do?
Jacob

Hi @Yash_nigam
That's not really possible as stories and tasks are at the same level hierarchy wise. Unless you have Jira Software premium which gives you Advanced Roadmaps, that would help as AR allows you to create custom hierarchies.

Hi
child issue will create another issue . we want to create sub task within task . for example testing database is task and testing sql database is subtask within task .

That makes no sense to be perfectly honest. Clicking add a child will always create a sub task of the current issue in all of my projects. If you were saying something else I recommend contacting Atlassian support.
