How to configure Test Case with steps in Jira?

i had added the Issue type as  test case in jira. But if i try to create i can see only summary & description. I want step by step points.

Are you using our QAlity app? It is a Jira app which allows you to easily plan, manage and execute your testing. You can read how to set it up here.

In order to use QAlity, you need to add Jira issue type - QAlity Test. After that you can open any Jira issue task and click on our app icon, then click on +Test Case button to add Test Case and its steps:

on execution report you will only get count of test cases but not test steps

As pointed above, Jira doesn't have any native functionality to support testing lifecycle. You can give AIO Tests - All-in-One Test Management App for Jira a try.

Thank you for contacting us. If you want to add QAlity Test issue types please follow the guide here. Currently, we do not offer any customization to our columns. So, it isn't possible to configure different columns of the Test Cases. We might add such possibility in the future. However, it isn't on our roadmap at the moment.

Jira natively doesn't have TC's and steps.

You have to install some plugins for Test management like that one.
