Hi.
I've created a ticket with the Create button. How can I add this then to the backlog?
My question is about existing, not closed tickets from the same team of course.
Thanks
Hello @Steve R.
Can you provide more information about your scenario?
Are you working with a Company Managed project or a Team Managed project?
Are you working with a Kanban board or a Scrum Board?
For Company Managed projects, the issues selected for a board are based on a filter. The filter may be for a single project, for multiple projects, or a subset of issues within a project. The filter needs to be compared to the new issue you created to confirm that the issue matches the criteria of the filter.
For boards associated with Team Managed projects, the board collects all issue from that one project.
The next thing to check is if the board is a Scrum board or a Kanban board. For Scrum boards, if the issue has not been assigned to an Active sprint then it should display in the backlog. If it is assigned to an Active sprint then it will display in the board, and in the associated sprint on the Backlog view.
The next thing to check is the Status assigned to the issue and check the board configuration for mappings of Statuses to Columns. If the Status is not mapped to a Column (or to the Kanban Backlog column for a Kanban board), then the issue will not be displayed in either the Backlog or the board.
Hi Trudy.
Yes, a company managed project. It's a SCRUM type.
However, I think I made a mistake. I've created an epic ticket and for some reason I expect it to be on the backlog, which doesn't makes sense I think. Now created a default ticket and it is instantly visible on the backlog. Sorry for confusion.
Thanks all for the help :-)

That is correct. Epics are not included in the Backlog list of issues for Scrum boards because Epics usually span a longer period of time than a Sprint. I wouldn't make sense to assign an Epic to a Sprint.
On the Backlog screen you can see the Epics, though. You should see an expandable Epics panel to the left of the issue list.
