I Have a requirement, In status field from Jira which contain value ( To DO, In Progress, In Review and done ) here i wanted to add more value.
Hello @Neha
Welcome to the Atlassian community.
@Kumaravel C 's answer is not entirely correct.
First, the level of permissions needed depend on whether you are working with a Team Managed project or a Company Managed project.
For a Team Managed project the Project Administrator has the ability to add more statuses by editing the workflow, which is what the document link provided by Kumaravel discusses.
For a Company Managed project a Project Admin and Board Admin may be able to add make additional statuses available if the project is using a Simplified Workflow. This would be determined by navigating to the Board Settings > Columns screen where it will tell you if a Simplified Workflow is being used.
If a Simplified Workflow is not being used, the only a full Jira Administrator can modify the workflow to add more Statuses to it.
Dear @Neha , You need global-level admin permission to edit the project workflow. Please find the URL below for creating or editing the workflow and adding a new status.
Here are a few things to keep in mind,
To check if that workflow mapped one project or multiple projects Before editing your project workflow
If the workflow maps one or more projects it will affect other projects as well
Regards,
Kumaravel C
