How to Disable Inline Edit for Assignee Field

I want to disable the inline edit for assignee field. I have followed this article and added script to the description section of field, but the field is still editable.

Has anybody fixed it somehow?

Hi @Faiza Iqbal

Have you tried removing it from the screens? That should make it uneditable.

The screen that you want to make uneditable the assignee field from.

cog wheel > Issues > Screens > find the screen you want to change > Configure > Remove
