How long does it take for Jira Cloud to verify our domain?

I am trying to get our domain verified, so that I can move all our users over to "Managed Users". To verify the domain, we are putting a TXT record in our DNS server. I put the TXT record into our DNS server 3 days ago. I confirmed that the TXT record is present by using the mxtoolbox.com site.
The problem is that Jira's "verify-domains" page still shows our domain as "Unverified". I have waited 3 days and there has been no change.
Do I need to just keep waiting? Or am I doing something wrong?
