I use Opsgenie automation to Jira and some users have alerts created using html elements in the body. When these Opsgenie tickets automate tickets to Jira, the html elements are sent to Jira but not processed i.e. it appears as <b><br></br></b>. Is there a way for me to have Jira description identify these elements and either remove or process accordingly?

Go to Settings > Issues > Field Configurations
Select the Field Configuration used by your project
Search for the Field in question
The click on Renderers link to the far right.

I do not have an Issues option in my Project Settings. I do see Issue types however and from there are the different fields. No option for Rendering in Description either.

This needs to be done from the Gear icon (Settings) in the top navigation bar on the right hand side by your avatar. You will need to be a Jira Administrator to be able to see the Field Configurations.

Hi John,
I do see that the Description field has wiki renderer field configuration but we are still receiving these html elements in the description body instead of being processed.

I would go ahead and submit a support ticket with Atlassian for that:
