I have an epic that is comprised of issues associated with a migration effort, and therefore a finite number of tasks to complete - one task per application. Unfortunately, users are adding tasks to this epic that should be part of a larger working epic and it is skewing data that is fed into a PowerBI report as well as overall metrics. Is there a way that I can restrict access to users being able to add stories to my epic? Can I 'hide' my epic so that only I know it exists and thus don't have stray tickets associated?
This is a team managed project. I am an admin for the project, but not a JIRA admin. Unsure if I need a JIRA Admin to make this change?
Hello @Druckman,Teddy
Welcome to the Atlassian community.
Is the Epic in a Company Managed project or a Team Managed project?
Are you a Project Admin for the project, or a Jira Admin, or just a non-admin user?

With a Team Managed project as a Project Admin you can use Issue Restrictions to hide individual issues or all issues of a particular type from other users based on Project Roles. You can learn more about that functionality here:
