I made epics and then stories off of the epics. I would only like the stories to show on the board, is there a way to hide the epic?
Hello @Tracy Collins
Welcome to the Atlassian community.
Are you working with a Team Managed project or a Company Managed project? That information will display at the bottom of the navigation panel on the left.
Are you working with a Software project or a Work Management project? If you see navigation options across the top like Summary, List, Board, Timeline, and Calendar, then it is a Work Management project. If the navigation options are in a panel on the left, then it is a Software project.
If it is a Work Management project you can hide the Epics using the Filter option to select the issue types you want to display.
If it is a Software project you would set a Quick/Custom Filter to hide the display of Epics from the board.
Here is the procedure to hide the Epic from the Board.
1. Go to Board Setting (Click on "..." top right corner of the Board)
2. Update the Filter query (Click on Edit Filter Query)
project = <Project Key or Name> and issuetype != Epic
3. Once you save the filter query then Epic will hide from the Board.
Regards
Adeel
