How do I get subtasks to show up on my kanban board?

Evans Karen July 19, 2021

I have a story with several subtasks and I would like the subtasks to show up on the  kanban board so that they are visible.

Hello @Evans Karen

Welcome to the community.

Are you working with a board for a Company Managed project or a Team Managed project?

In a board for a Company Managed project, as Jonas said, the subtasks should show up if the parent story is on the board and the board filter doesn't exclude the subtasks.

If you are working with a board for a Team Managed project then subtasks do not show on the board unless you use the Group By Subtask option in the upper right corner.

Thank you the Group By Subtask option worked.

Hi,

As long as the parent story is in the board, and the sub-tasks are included in the board filter, they should be visible.

It's not possible to just add the sub-tasks without their parent.
